Bashar was a key member of the Senior Commercial Management Team at Oman Airports, Bashar has been instrumental in accelerating commercial expansion across Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, and Duqm airports. His strategic leadership and innovative approach have contributed to significant revenue enhancements and operational excellence.
His career also includes high-impact roles as Vice President – Asset Management and Financial Expert in prominent Omani and regional companies, where he managed diverse investment portfolios, assessed market risks, and developed robust financial strategies. Additionally, he has overseen fund management and corporate investment portfolios, driving sustained growth and leading corporate strategy, investment planning, and financial advisory initiatives. Bashar worked for some time in Saudi Arabia in Dallah Al Baraka group as portfolio and investment manager managing high net worth accounts in Islamic and conventional way.
Bashar holds a Master’s degree in Finance & Investment from the University of Exeter, a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting & Financial Economics from the University of Essex, Bachelor degree in accounting financial management from Bier-Zeit University, and a Diploma in Airport Strategic Management from IATA. His expertise with more than 30 years of diversified experience is further strengthened by various certifications in aviation law, airport marketing, financial modeling, and corporate governance.
